| 内容記述 | In the 1980s, Geographical information systems (GIS) technology began to show a great proliferation and adoption in urban and regional planning community. This can be partly attributed to the development of desktop GIS modules with rational prices, and the provision of digitized maps and socio-economic data sets for GIS in other hands. Urban and regional planning including land use and transportation planning requires spatial information in nature and the design and use of such information systems in an efficient way. GIS technology can customize urban and regional planning process and provide an essential tool for planning tasks for extensive spatially referenced databases. This paper presents a basic concept of strategic urban and regional planning and its relation to GIS technology, with a special attention to the 3D visualization technologies including computer graphics, computer-aided architectural design and camera vision technology. The paper also gives some application results of GIS-based urban and regional planning. | |||||
