This school taugh only 30 students per year at a junior high level under the old educational system. Therefore, students were influenced by Iguchi's teaching and doctrines. From this private school, about 70 students migrated to the United States of America, and they established the 'Hotaka Club' in Seattle, named after their home town. Under the anti-Japanese movement of the 1920's, they had many activities such as a reading circle, Bible research, an oratorical meeting, publishing of the magazine New Home, and a sports meeting, etc. This club helped them cope with life in the United States during the anti-Japanese movement, and it also a different country. This group is unique in the history of immigration from Japan.
